We have over 240 stores throughout Northern and Central California and Nevada operating under the Save Mart, S Mart, Food Maxx and Lucky Stores banners. We currently have a job opening in our Modesto Annex office for the position of Staff Accountant. (MCE 349) Job Description: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting, making journal entries, account analysis, and reviewing financial statements. Requirements: Intermediate accounting theory Strong understanding of financial statements Minimum of one year related experience Intermediate computer skills (Excel and Word) Proficient 10-key and calculation skills Ability to work accurately and under tight deadlines Ability to work in a busy environment handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail Occasional Saturday work and overtime required.
